Frequently Asked Questions

Lawn Fertilization

Do I need to be home when you fertilize my lawn?

Because each job takes a different amount of time to complete, it is impossible to give an accurate estimated time of arrival.  Our technicians work sometimes until dark, so you can count on your service being performed on the day it is scheduled.

If you plan to be home on the day of service you can give any special instructions to the worker at that time.  If you do not plan to be home at the time of service you can just leave a note of any special instructions underneath your front door mat or taped to your front door.

If your service date has COMPLETELY PASSED and a technician never showed up.  CLICK HERE to be rescheduled as a priority customer.  Please only reschedule if your scheduled date of service has completely passed.  Our tech may show up late.

Thank you for your continued patronage.

Do I need to put my dog in the house on the day of service?

We love dogs.  If your dog will allow a stranger into their yard to do work, leave them out.  If your dog has had problems with contractors in the past, I would recommend putting your dog in the house for the day.

How do I give special instructions to the worker if I am not at home?

How much does a fertilizer treatment cost?

The cost to aerate your entire lawn is $39.00.  This includes your entire lawn, front, back and sides regardless of size.  We understand some lawns are small and some lawns are large, but because we are already on your block aerating other lawns we are doing each lawn for just $39.00.  We are also running a ½ price special on our fertilizer treatment.  If you have us fertilize your lawn while we are there to aerate, we will do both services for a total of $79.00.  That's to completely aerate and fertilize your entire lawn, front, back and sides for any size lawn.

We are also running a ½ price special on our overseeding service.  There is no better time to overseed your lawn than after deep core aeration.  This service will put a golfcourse blend grass seed over your entire lawn, dropping into your aeration holes.  The result, a thicker plush green lawn.  The ½ price cost for overseeding is $39.00 total for your entire lawn.  Front, back and sides.

How often should I have my lawn fertilized?

There really is no such thing as aerating too much.  Although most homeowners aerate their lawns every spring and fall when they apply their spring fertilizers and seeds as well as winterizer fertilizers in the fall.

For an extra thick healthy lawn, aerate again midsummer with a nitrogen fertilizer treatment.  Make sure you water heavily the night before your aeration.

What kind of fertilizer do you use?

We use a professional grade fertilizer for all of our customers.  This fertilizer is an organic treatment that is time released so it won't burn your lawn.

Our supercrop fertilizer is balanced with nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium to keep your lawn healthy and strong, plus numerous trace mineral elements that have been scientifically structured to give exactly what your lawn needs when it needs it.  Most soils have some of these elements present, but usually they become depleted over the years.  Turf is a very hungry plant during its major growing seasons.

Proper fertilizing and overseeding with balanced applications in the spring and fall, promotes thick, dense grass that can resist disease and weed invasions
