Do I need to put my dog in the house on the day of service?
We love dogs.  If your dog will allow a stranger into their yard to do work, leave them out.  If your dog has had problems with contractors in the past, I would recommend putting your dog in the house for the day.
Do I need to rake up the plugs?
NO!  Do not rake up the plugs after aeration.  The plugs will break up after a week or so.  If you do rake up your aeration plugs you will see your lawn start to thin out over time rather than being thick and plush.

How much does Deep Plug Aeration cost?

The cost to aerate your entire lawn is $39.00. This includes your entire lawn, front, back and sides regardless of size. We understand some lawns are small and some lawns are large, but because we are already on your block aerating other lawns we are doing each lawn for just $39.00. We are also running a ½ price special on our fertilizer treatment. If you have us fertilize your lawn while we are there to aerate, we will do both services for a total of $79.00. That's to completely aerate and fertilize your entire lawn, front, back and sides for any size lawn.

We are also running a ½ price special on our overseeding service. There is no better time to overseed your lawn than after deep core aeration. This service will put a golfcourse blend grass seed over your entire lawn, dropping into your aeration holes. The result, a thicker plush green lawn. The ½ price cost for overseeding and aeration is $79.00 total for your entire lawn. Front, back and sides.

How often should I aerate my lawn?

There really is no such thing as aerating too much.  Although most homeowners aerate their lawns every spring and fall when they apply their spring fertilizers and seeds as well as winterizer fertilizers in the fall.

For an extra thick healthy lawn, aerate again midsummer with a nitrogen fertilizer treatment.  Make sure you water heavily the night before your aeration.

Should I fertilize and overseed my lawn immediately after lawn aeration?

Yes! It is by far the best time to apply fertilizers and grass seed right after lawn aeration. This process enables the fertilizers and grass seeds to penetrate into the holes accessing the roots for accelerated results. Highly recommended!

Should I mark my sprinkler heads before you aerate?

What is lawn aeration and why should I get it done?
Lawn aeration is the mechanical process of removing cores from the lawn to allow water, air, fertilizer, seed and nutrients to better reach the roots. This stimulates root growth, causing your lawn to be healthier, thicker and greener throughout the growing season.Lawn aeration also helps reduce thatch build up. The plugs will gradually break down into your lawn leaving behind important nutrients yet losing the thick layer of old dead thatch.
What kind of fertilizer do you use?

We use a professional grade fertilizer for all of our customers.  This fertilizer is a liquid organic treatment that is time released so it won't burn your lawn.

Our supercrop fertilizer is balanced with nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium to keep your lawn healthy and strong, plus numerous trace mineral elements that have been scientifically structured to give exactly what your lawn needs when it needs it.  Most soils have some of these elements present, but usually they become depleted over the years.  Turf is a very hungry plant during its major growing seasons.

Proper fertilizing and overseeding with balanced applications in the spring and fall, promotes thick, dense grass that can resist disease and weed invasions.

What kind of seed do you use?

Lawns are only as good as the seed from which they are planted.

Our golf course blend grass seed is a fantastic mixture of vibrant bluegrasses intended to enhance the life, health and appearance of your lawn.

Our grass seed products are virtually weed free, provide great coverage and contain hearty varieties that help produce the thickest, greenest lawns in the neighborhood.

We use an Earth Carpet brand seed that is excellent for overseeding entire lawns in Colorado and bringing back those high traffic, thin areas of your lawn to the thick, plush version of bluegrass that Coloradoans appreciate.

We have combined everything you need to take care of bare patches and thin spots:  lawn aeration, seeds, fertilizers and sand products.

How much does sprinkler blowout/winterization cost ?

Sprinkler blowout and winterization is just $65.00 for your entire system regardless of how many zones you have.

How often should I should I have my sprinklers blown out?

You only need to have your sprinkler system winterized once a year. Make sure to winterize your system before the seasons first hard freeze.

What method do you use to blowout sprinklers?

We use a large truck mounted air compressor to blow each line out thoroughly. Please be sure to shut off the water from inside your home to the sprinkler system.

What should I do after you have blownout the sprinkler system?

Be sure to drain the line inside your home that leads from your water turn on/off out to your system. This is easily done by simply opening the drain.

The on/off valve for your sprinkler water is typically located in the basement near the main water shut off valve to your house.

What should I do to prepare to get my service done?
  1. Leave any special instructions under your front door mat.
  2. Make sure a gate is unlocked and any mean dogs are put away.
  3. Make sure to shut off the water to your sprinkler system prior to our arrival.
What should I expect in the spring?

The cold winter months are very harsh on your sprinkler system. The majority of all lines and valves in your sprinkler system is made of a thin plastic material that will crack and fail over time.

Having your system blownout ensures against frozen buried lines resulting in cracks in your system. It is common however to have minor repairs such as backflow valves or an occasional sprinkler head after a long winter season.

Where can I find the shutoff valve to my sprinkler system?

The on/off valve for your sprinkler water is typically located in the basement near the main water shut off valve to your house
